The Governor will hold a Ceremonial Signing of the funding legislation for the new veterans nursing home in Ogden on site of the planned facility. The facility will be near the Weber County Fairgrounds.
The signing will be held at approximately 1100 on the 11th of April.
More info to follow as I receive it.

Beginning Monday the 24th, I am going to start a monthly book donation run to the VA hospital.
You may bring books to the meetings or if you live Ogden-Salt Lake, I would be willing to pick them up.

The officers of the WestCoast Region will be visiting Utah the 10th of April.
AS this is an off-meeting day, and the VFW hall in Ogden is not available, we have tentatively scheduled a meeting in the Provo area. Time and place are to be determined. All are welcome to attend.
If you are going to attend, please RSVP so I know how many seats to reserve. As has been our tradition during Regional Officer Visits, dinner will be on the Branch.
We will still hold our monthly meeting on the 16th of April as we have nominations to conduct. The Branch Offices open are: President, Vice President and Chaplain.

On the evening of 28 February 2008 there was a reorganizational meeting held at VFW post 1481 in Ogden.
Our monthly meetings will now be held the 3rd Wednesday of the month at VFW post 1481 907 W 12th street in Ogden at 1900.
We have 3 new members, transfers from other Branches:

Donald McCoach
Doug Larson

I have a goal this year for the newsletter be distributed electronically (via email) to as many members as possible. I will also be uploading them to this server, making them available for download. They will be in the download area. Click on the downloads link on the left.
